The procces of adoption is a long one, both for the expectant mother and family as well as the adoptive family. Matt and I knew that the best approach was to do as much research as we could and find all available resources. We had help from an adoption coach, joined adoption groups on facebook and dug deep into using an attorney versus an adoption agency, or like you looking for an identied adoption, where you see this profile and reach out to us. Our first step was to complete a home study which takes a while and requires a lot of paperwork and interviews. That however, ensures that when you choose us, you are ensuring a safe and stable enviroment for our child to grow up in. Our social worker was amazing and spent a lot of time with us making sure we understood the entire process. We completed parenting classes and asked our families how to deal with certain things. Matt and I are close with our parents so our little one will have an amazing support network of family to love and care for them. We completed our home study with a reccomendation for approval, meaning after all of that work our social worker determined that we would be great parents. While choosing an adoptive family is not an easy choice, we want you to know that we are as prepared as possible and will ensure that our child grows up to be accepted for who they are and encouraged to be adventerous and empathetic.
